I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is well written, action packed, and a very quick read. Each chapter kept me engaged and I couldn't wait to get back to it each time I was forced to put it down. There were many times when I could feel my heart rate increase and other times when I got a feeling of anxiety as the heroes were battling the bad guys.It appears to be the first book in a series but the story stops such that this book stands on its own. I for one can't wait until the next one comes out.

Captivating and well-written with characters the readers are invested in. Classical fantasy readers should look no further for their next GO-TO. I hope to read more from this author!
A great story and a fast read. I found myself very interested in what was going to happen next. I liked the hero characters and their journey of discovery. I hope the author writes more of this series soon.
I liked it very much, read it twice.
The characters are well written and the story itself contains excellent world building. I really enjoy a good fantasy novel and this one delivers. The story kept me turing pages to find out what happens next. Instead of the dark fantasy novels that are found today, this is written in a classical style. The story reminds me of the Codex Alera series by Jim Butcher.
